Cookies and browser storage

Last updated: 18 settembre 2026

Kefamo uses the bare minimum: no advertising cookies, no service that follows you from one site to another. That is why there is no banner asking you to accept cookies: when only technical tools are used, the law requires us to inform you — as we are doing here — but not to ask for your consent.

What we actually use

Technical session cookies

They keep you signed in after you log in. Without them you would have to type your password again on every page. They are handled by Supabase, the service that takes care of authentication, and they last as long as you stay signed in, or until you sign out.

Local browser storage

These are not cookies and are not sent to any server: they stay on your device.

  • The area you chose (town and radius), so the app reopens where you left it instead of asking you every time.
  • Light or dark theme, to respect your choice.
  • A reminder already shown (the tip on how to install the app on an iPhone), so it isn't repeated endlessly.

You can delete all of this at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings: you will only lose your preferences, not your account.

Third-party services

Some parts of the app load content from other websites, and those sites may in turn use cookies of their own:

  • Maps — the map images come from OpenStreetMap.
  • Error reporting — if a page breaks, the technical details are sent to Sentry through our own /monitoringaddress so we can fix it. It is not a traffic analytics tool and sets no tracking cookies.
  • Video — only if you tap the video box on an event page: until then nothing is loaded from YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. This is deliberate, precisely so you don't run into cookies you didn't ask for.
  • Sign in with Google — only if you choose that method.
  • Payments — only on payment pages, handled by Stripe.

Analytics

At the moment we do not use any traffic analytics tools. If we do, we will choose privacy-respecting options and update this page to introduce a request for consent before switching them on.
